I spent years drinkin', even though I shouldn't have
As a character trait, I think, was that good or bad?
Well, without it I probably wouldn't have

I'm just another white rapper, lookin' at his wrist watch
Watchin' time go by while Mack goes platinum off of Thrift Shop
And I think, I started out with that dude
And then I think again, damn, my time must be past due
I feel like, what worm hole did I just pass through?
It's like the timeline my life was on just went as-kew
Shit, this is what my life has amassed-to?
Starting over at 29, trying to push my tracks through?
Some people call that laughable, and that it's unimaginable
I'd have to be a fool to think that I can do what rappers do
But I can, 'cause it ain't the skill of the man it's the will of the man with a
Helluva plan, to build up n' stand on top the product he built with his hands

See, the best part about me
Is that I'm all about seeing...and reaching for the hologram things
That which can't be touched by this olive drabbed me
I'm a soldier, in the trenches of my dream scape
Crawling through the gunfire, 'cause I gotta keep pace
Time is not a luxury, I gotta stay alive because I'm
Fighting with myself to never see my vision die
I feel like I've gotta catch up, but I'm stuck up in slow motion
Grindin' all this rust off, I'm cussin', there's no motion
I just wanna blast off, and justify this whole thing
Take my boat and cast off, sailing on my own dream
And now, I can teach others who don't believe
To hop on my boat, grab an oar and row with me
I don't take kindly to those like, "woe is me..."
Or words like "maybe", "we'll see", or "hopefully"
"Hopefully" is for the skeptical, "maybe's" for the unsure
"We'll see" is for the wary, and all have only one cure
Which is to put the work in like you're training for Olympics
Put all of the doubt and all the pain up in this instant
It's nobody but you, so all the haters get a digit
The middle one, 'cause no one's gonna stop this train n' engine
But if I can make a difference, breathe the life back in a ghost
See, it started with this phantom, if I can be that little hope
That little light that little glimmer, in the middle of the winter
That froze over someone's soul and then just livin' turned 'em bitter
Then I did my part, I brought 'em up out the ice age
I thawed 'em from the inside, and I got 'em back to life, rain
Smiles, came, bright, unstrained, price...less...man (main)

So I'm sittin' on my dream boat, once it was a raft
And then a skiff, and then a sloop, soon a yacht and then a ship
You can hop up on my boat, because I need a crew of dreamers
You can navigate with me while we achieve a new demeanor
And it's a gonna be a struggle, through the sea and through the storm
The structure just might buckle, while we teeter through the course
That we have set to reach our destination, yes, there is no going back
Yes, this is a test of patience, will you go on knowing that?
And now the question raises, do you have the will to do this?
Do you have the fight within to do this 'til it kills you?  Prove it!
